Social networking sites share many similarities and have specific differences. For the most part platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn all have a main goal to spread information, connect with other people, and build an internet influence. All can also be used to market an organization or company. However, we will dive into some details of each platform which make them different than others. Facebook for example, sustains a large user base but is more of a formality platform used by older generations and family minded users. While, Twitter is utilized from providing announcements by organizations, sharing opinions of people around the world, and much more. Twitter allows people to express and build a personality of their own. Compared to Twitter and Facebook, Instagram is a safe medium. I find it very interesting that you call Instagram "The safe medium" of social media platforms. I like using Instagram as well and find it more useful than Facebook despite the face that Instagram is owned by Facebook. Unfortunately, Instagram suffers from the same data privacy issue as Facebook but Facebook's bad reputation is a lot more pronounced than Instagram.
