 In this post you will find my personalized Bitmoji! This software allows me to create my own personal avatar that I can use on Snapchat, iMessage, and other platforms. It has been fully customized from all the features of my face and body to the clothes I wear. Certain software also allows users to create unique stickers such as the Halloween themed one in this post. I would highly recommend all individuals to create a Bitmoji and express themselves in their own unique ways! 

 I believe that New Media fosters creativity in a multitude of ways. One platform at the forefront of this is Snapchat. Snapchat and it's ability to create quick, customized, and connected conversations is very powerful. The concept of sending a snapchat is taking a photo of yourself, a blank screen, or something else and sending that photo to one of your friends. However, an individuals has the ability to customize their photo in many ways. For example, they may add text on top of the photo to place a caption. They also have the ability to apply filters which change the coloration of the photo or add time stamps and weather. Users can also add a plethora of stickers, locations, and speech tools if they're making a video. However, the simplest tool which made Snapchat the holy grail of creativity was the pen.  Virtual Reality is an up and coming concept. Whether it is a video game console, consulting company, or home design business virtual reality is seeming to encompass it's influence throughout society. The basic concept is to be able to create, build, and experience a virtual world outside of the one we currently live in and through various software, testing, and development make the world as real as possible. Virtual Worlds are being utilized throughout industries, organizations, and cultures. In the Washington Post Article, " At Hearing, Real and Virtual Worlds Collide", details about how "a  virtual depiction of the  Rayburn House Office Building  meeting room was projected on television screens" describes the use of virtual reality in a political environment.  A blog in essence is the ability to share one's ideas and thoughts in formatted method. Having a blog on Twitter is more so of a informal virtual discussion and presentation of one's thoughts. Twitter in general is created and provided users with such tools that promote self thought and opinion without restriction. Having the character limit also pushes individuals to be more concise and wholesome with their thoughts. Compared to a Twitter discussion, a Blackboard discussion is more structured, without a character limit, and has many technological tools to embed links, photos, and other resources to help present an individua's thoughts. Blackboard is also considered a scholarly site which causes users to write more professionally and thoughtfully. I find Blackboard discussions to be a well thought out design of ideas.  Social networking sites share many similarities and have specific differences. For the most part platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn all have a main goal to spread information, connect with other people, and build an internet influence. All can also be used to market an organization or company. However, we will dive into some details of each platform which make them different than others. Facebook for example, sustains a large user base but is more of a formality platform used by older generations and family minded users. While, Twitter is utilized from providing announcements by organizations, sharing opinions of people around the world, and much more.
