In this post you will find my personalized Bitmoji! This software allows me to create my own personal avatar that I can use on Snapchat, iMessage, and other platforms. It has been fully customized from all the features of my face and body to the clothes I wear. Certain software also allows users to create unique stickers such as the Halloween themed one in this post. I would highly recommend all individuals to create a Bitmoji and express themselves in their own unique ways!
If I was appointed by Baruch College to advise on how to better implement New Media to improve the school I would have a couple areas of focus. The first one being in utilizing social media such as Instagram and Twitter to keep students posted on deadlines, news, and other important information. For example, many students are cumbersomely opening up the Baruch Academic Calendar on their phone to see the last day to drop a course, when we have holidays, or when final exams may begin. I believe providing posts on social media on these upcoming days would benefit many students. Another area in which New Media can be implemented is the creation of a website or forum within Baruch which allows students to give feedback to Baruch on how their class or professor is doing. Currently we have a survey for each class at the end of the semester, however I feel that student's concerns are often not addressed and professor's attitudes, style of teaching, or even employment remains unchanged...
I really liked the way you used Bitmoji and tried to showcase yourself in a form of art. Bitmoji sounds really cool and thanks for explaining about the software.
ReplyDeleteI did not know about this program. I've seen people used and wonder how they did. Now, I know too! This seemed like really cool way to be artistic and totally "new media" art related. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteI though that Bitmoji was available only in iMessage but now noticed that many other platforms are using it also. I think it's creative to make Bitmoji of yourself in graphic art. It is interesting software to play around.
ReplyDeleteI love your Bitmoji, it shows a really great reflection of your personal style and even personality! I think it's so interesting how easy it is to create avatar of ourselves nowadays, especially during these virtual times where they can represent how we wish to look and act in person!
