Privacy and confidentiality are concepts which are day by day becoming more and more important to creators and consumers of new media. Applications such as Tik Tok have become such influential companies in their simplistic app which has gained so much popularity they have simultaneously become infamous for their security and data privacy concerns. Keeping user data safe is an essential and given responsibility of any new media company. Furthermore, cyber security in general as an industry is rapidly growing. More and more hackathons or popping up across high school and university campuses, new and improved programs in cyber security are being developed each year, and organizations throughout the globe are bulking up their security training and strategies.
